On January 13th we had an AVC Game Night / Jailhouse Fundraiser event! Student Council started setting up for the event during fourth block so everything was ready to go after school. One of the popular games available was Sim Racing brought in by Brandon T. Sim Racing is the term commonly used for simulated racing. Sim racing is the collective terms used for racing game software that attempts to accurately simulate auto racing, complete with real-world variables such as fuel usage, damage, tire wear and grip, and suspension settings. To be competitive, a driver must understand all aspects of car handling that make real-world racing so difficult. This truly is a fun game. Thanks Brandon, for bringing it in and sharing. We also had lots of Xboxes, one of which had a party game on it so multiple people could play at the same time. We had a foosball table and several different card games. Our Jailhouse Fundraiser netted a whopping two people being tossed into jail! Although food wasn't planned, we had LOTS of pizza; Joey's Pizza, Dominoes for Student Council members, and Aiden S. donated lots of Little Caesar's Pizza. Thanks Aiden! Gabe G. was the surprise of the night sporting a cheer uniform. Way to go, Gabe for bringing the Game Night spirit! All in all, everyone who attended had a BLAST!
