9th grade students have the opportunity to earn Friday Afternoon Activities, a choice of rewards for those students who complete their self-regulated learning goal and/or have achieved all A-C grades. These activities might include a movie in class, an art activity, a trip to the mall or even bigger awards include a field trip to many of the great features/activities/sites here in Colorado Springs.
Students in the 10th – 12th grades have annually participated in the stress relief Smash-a-Thon activity! This event promotes generosity for every swing requires a gift of a canned good.
Aspen Valley also believes that students should have a rich exposure to the community. We frequently bring in guest speakers, host career days and community service days, and organize fields trips.
